BRANT BIBLE CHURCH

The addition incorporated a new gymnasium on the Main Level. On the Lower Level
were Christian educational facilities and offices. Extensive renovations and
upgrades to the original church were also undertaken, not only to allow the
connection of the addition but also to improve heating/cooling equipment,
modernize the kitchen and generally update the original building. |

| Located on the corner of a busy regional road and a street which fed a local
residential neighbourhood, placement of the addition allowed for maximum parking
while maintaining landscape buffers to the adjoining properties. |

Because
of the regional road was significantly above the elevation of the church, we
place the one parking lot at a mid-elevation to act as a mid-terrace. New
walkways of interlocking pavers were installed throughout the site. |
| Our goal was to visually blend the addition with the existing chapel by
utilizing the shapes and angles of the original building. |
