MAIN FLOOR PLAN |
|
Funded by the federal Department of Indian Affairs, the
project involved renovation of a 1950's school into an interpretive museum for
the Six Nations Band Council. The building aesthetic took its vision from the
rythum of native music. The biggest technical challenge was to upgrade the
existing building envelope to current museum standards which restrict
temperature variations to 2° F and relative humidity to a 2% change over 24
hours, regardless of outside weather changes. |
