MOR CAR WASH

This project began with a complete re- thinking
of what a car wash had traditionally been. The result was the most progressive
facility in the region. Not only does this car wash employ utilize the single 'touchless'
equipment but the building itself reflects a new way of thinking. Instead of the
dark tunnel, we have a continuously vaulted skylight. The skylights extend down
to full windows to not only illuminate the interior but to provide people inside
the vehicles with natural light as they ride down the wash line.

The building form provides an identifiable icon
which is used in promotion. Landscaping beds are incorporated to directly into
the base of the building and the surrounding site. h number of new
materials finishing material were utilized in order to better withstand the
constant pressurized water, cleaning solvents and finishing solutions. The
result has been a identifiable low maintenance facility which has been a great
success. |
