DAYCARE ON DELAWARE

The project called for the conversion of a
single family residence into a child care centre for 18 children.

In order to
achieve the required parking, the front yard had to be reconfigured
|

At the front entrance
walls were removed to open up the space and make it brighter. |
| The living room was
converted to a classroom by removal of the fireplace and window valance and
a change in colours. |

The former dining room
became a classroom by removing the main wall and installing a new beam and
column. |
| The garage became a
classroom by replacement of the overhead door with a window and other
extensive renovations. |

On the upper level the
walls for the two bedrooms and the bathroom were removed, the roof structure
support reframed and two new, open classrooms were the result. |
