Based on a preliminary design provided by the
Owner, this 300m2 (3,300 sq.ft.) home is located on a site that slopes over
15m (50') towards the Pacific Ocean. The home is inverted from the norm in
that the parking and entry are at the top level, living spaces in the
centre, and the bedrooms on the lowest level. The windows and balconies are
all situated to maximize the views.
Computer modeling was used during the approval
process to ensure that the minimum number of trees were removed and to
resolve the roof design and other design details.
