CUSTOM  RESIDENTIAL
COUNTRY  DREAM   IN   STONE

The original house was a very typical raised ranch plan but it was located on a very spectacular country lot. So the new Owner's decided to make it into what they wanted by adding a major addition to the right and front as well as re-cladding the entire structure to ensure it did not look like an addition.

Most important to the lifestyle of the family was the new Kitchen and Breakfast area which opened up directly to the new Living Room. This is where the family spends most of its time. Also important was a new whirlpool spa which was an important entertainment centre and which links to the outdoor patio and swimming pool in the rear of the house.

SPA

As you can from the plans below, the area of the house more than doubled and yet it still flows as one house. The new, two storey entrance brings visitors gracefully from the lower level to them main upper living level while the new Living Room and Spa add visual interest to the homes exterior.

LOWER  LEVEL

In order to bring more light into the lower level Family Room and yet maintain acoustic separation, a featured curve stair was designed which followed the lines of the bow window. At the lower level is a glass partition which allows the light to enter but does not allow the noise to escape.
